Call To Action

Angela needs our help. She needs the help of citizens who are not afraid to speak out against injustice when they see it NO MATTER WHO IS INVOLVED! She needs the help of people who are not intimidated by others in Ms. Kendrick’s “Circle Of Influence” — those who are helping her — who may think it’s cool to be associated with her, but who really don’t know who she is at her core.

Sadly, in the age of Donald Trump, CORRUPTION has become the order of the day, and people who are presumed to be better than that, now find it so easy both to corrupt and be corrupted. But BE WARNED: Those who embrace or take on this way of thinking and acting are in for a rude awakening.

Ivory was a victim of “Vigilante Justice” which is no better than the rampant practice witnessed during the “Jim Crow” era of ambushing blacks and hanging them from a tree in the middle of the night; or the Klan burning crosses and bombing churches.

The most distressing aspect of this is that it is “Vigilante Justice” executed against an African American male citizen and perpetrated by an African American woman lawmaker; a woman who has put herself out as a person of the Democratic persuasion; a representative of the people; and a legal scholar who has mastered the laws of our land.

But, this is quickly becoming a public issue that demands public outcry.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. left us with these words: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE.” He wrote these words in his Letter from the Birmingham Jail” where he was incarcerated — caged like an animal — in the Birmingham city jail, because he DARED to challenge the “powers that be” by speaking out and dramatizing the racial injustices that were prevalent in 1963. But the words proved to be timeless in that they still apply today; because Ivory Rucker — a citizen of Georgia and constituent of State Representative Darshun Kendrick, DARED to pick up the telephone and call his State Representative to speak his mind.

While we don’t pretend to know every utterance of his conversation, never has it been alleged that Ivory said anything untoward to the legislator, or anything that would be considered immoral or offensive. Therefore the question begs to be answered: “How did a simple telephone call or series of messages warrant his arrest and his being held in custody for more than two years?”

For nearly two years, Angela Rucker has pushed aggressively to have these questions answered. She has hired several law firms; engaged the services of the FBI and other officials; only to have them recede and literally shrink from the issue after learning that State Representative Kendrick is involved. Everybody who she has enlisted to help her with this issues — many of whom she PAID for their services — has let her down. Especially whenever the magic word — Darshun Kendrick — is spoken. This alone let’s us know that there is some serious manipulation going on behind the scenes.

But Ivory deserves to be made whole.

Thus, readers of this blog are called upon to lend your voices; your ears; your service or any degree of support and help that you can:

1. Write letters to YOUR State Representative as well as to Representative Kendrick expressing your outrage over her conduct.
2. If you are part of a law firm who would be willing to take on Ivory’s case — TO WORK IN EARNEST FOR HIS BENEFIT — and represent him, PLEASE contact Angela.
3. If you are able and want to assist financially, she will not turn down any offer of assistance.
4. Angela is a Delta, and therefore, calls upon her sorors of Delta Sigma Theta, to stand with her in demanding Justice for Ivory.
5. We are calling on organizations such as the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP (Including Local Branches), The ACLU, the SCLC and other groups to investigate all of the issues tantamount to this case, and take whatever steps are necessary to rain down justice on this issue.
6. Demand that local and national news media give this incident the attention that it deserves.
7. Use any and every means at your disposal to demand Total And Complete Justice For Ivory.
8. VOTERS in Georgia House District 93 are called upon to RE-THINK your political support for this State Representative, Dar’shun Kendrick because her actions IN THIS CASE point to a complete lack of empathy or concern for the mentally challenged, and her abandonment of true Democratic principles concerning the mentally ill; but furthermore, a total disrespect for the RULES OF LAW!
